Real-Time vs Confirmed Signals

When using MethodAlgo indicators, the confirmation of all signals depends on the closing of the candle. A signal is only confirmed as valid after the candle has closed. Before the candle closes, signals may change as the price fluctuates. For example, if a signal’s trigger condition requires an upper wick to reach exactly 20%, but this condition is not met by the time the candle closes, the signal will disappear. Therefore, the confirmation of a signal relies on the data after the candle has closed, rather than any realtime signals generated during its formation.

Signal Confirmation in Liquidity Detective

When Using the Chart in data TimeFrame

All signals are confirmed after the candle closed.

When AutopilotTF is Enabled or a Custom Data TimeFrame is Used

Status Line

Liquidity Detective uses high time frame data to ensure the consistency and continuity of momentum and cycles. When the AutopilotTF feature is enabled, the detective automatically adjusts to use a time frame that is 2 to 3 times that of the current chart’s time frame. In this case, a vertical semi-transparent yellow status line will appear on the right side of the Liquidity Detective interface.

The position of the status line indicates the closing state of the high timeframe candle:

  • To the left of the status line: Indicates that the high timeframe candle has closed and the signal is confirmed.
  • At the status line or to the right: Indicates that the high timeframe candle has not yet closed, and the signal is real-time.

Example Explanation

  • In a 15-minute chart, the detective uses a 45-minute timeframe.
  • A 45-minute candle contains three 15-minute candles.
  • Any signals generated before the 45-minute candle closes are real-time signals and is realtime signals.

Fully Non-Repainting Option

  1. Disable the Liquidity Detective’s AutopilotTF feature.
  2. Set each tool’s time frame option to Chart.
  3. Set the Repaint option to Off.

Signal Confirmation in Power Ranger

All signals are confirmed after the candle closes.

Recommendations

  • It is recommended to keep the Liquidity Detective settings at their default. Combining high time frame candles with the current time frame provides the algorithm with more pattern information and candle data. Even unconfirmed signals can still be very insightful.
  • For Power Ranger signals, generally, they do not impact analysis. However, in larger time frames, pay attention to signals like the magnet's production. Since the algorithm for detecting magnet zones is complex, the magnet may be canceled if conditions are not met. Just remember that the data from the last candle is real-time, and the signal is only confirmed after the candle closed.
